Epping Forest Chamber of Commerce provides many services to its members as part of its objectives.

The overall objectives are to promote and protect the interests of our members and also to act as the channel of communication between our members and the public authorities and other bodies.

The chamber endeavors to bring about attention from the authorities and decision makers to the needs of our members as well as being a channel for communication from Government to business. To date we have helped members in many areas including liaising with Local Councils regarding maintenance, nuisance, utilities, issues etc. Help with parking, CCTV and security issues. Providing advance warnings where business disruption may take place due to public works and providing advance notice of future tax or legislation changes affecting business.

The chamber also supports members when they need assistance, this can be in the form of advice, guidance, information or simply someone to speak to when things may not be going well. You will always find someone to speak to at the chamber, we may not always be able to solve your problem, but sometimes it helps just to speak to someone who listens or understands! We are currently working on developing in this area further to extend our support into new areas of skills development, training etc.

Another part of the chamber’s service is to help promote your business, promote a better local business environment and a social circle of like minded people in business, trades and the professions so that you can share ideas and opinions, sound off and generally feel that you are not on your own. In this area we organise regular Breakfast and other social and networking events and we are working on other programs to promote your business including a member’s discount scheme and a new local community website.
